Louis Jadot Beaune Greves 1er Cru Le Clos Blanc 2017

Maison Louis Jadot (or Louis Jadot) is a winery that was founded by Louis Henry Denis Jadot in 1859. The first vineyard bought by the Jadot family is the Beaune vineyard, Clos des Ursules, in 1826. The family wine company produces and markets Burgundy wine. It operates both its own vineyards and buys grapes from other growers. It controls 270 hectares (670 acres) of vineyards in Burgundy (including Beaujolais Crus), and produces only Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) wines.

"The 2017 Beaune 1er Cru Grèves Le Clos Blanc (Domaine Gagey) is more reserved than the Bressandes, unfurling in the glass with notes of honeyed citrus, praline and subtle new oak. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, layered and succulent, with tangy acids--malolactic fermentation was partially blocked--and good length on the finish.
